National Manager for Scotland, The Scholars Programme

The Brilliant Club is looking for a dynamic and driven individual to lead the growth of its successful Scholars Programme in Scotland. The Scholars Programme was first piloted in Scotland in Spring 2017. This year over 100 pupils will complete The Scholars Programme in primary and secondary schools across the Central Belt, and we have plans to expand the programme into Fife and the North East in the 2019/20 academic year.

Currently, programme delivery in Scotland is overseen by Brilliant Club staff based in England, but we believe the programme has the potential to grow significantly, helping thousands of young people across Scotland and sustaining its own regional team. The National Manager for Scotland – working with the National Programme Director and North Area Director – will be responsible for the growth of The Scholars Programme in Scotland. As our first Scotland-based member of staff, they will also be responsible delivering a high-quality programme for Scottish schools. As well as maintaining strong school and university relationships, they will manage the recruitment of PhD tutors and run excellent campus trips.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished professional, with experience of leading programme delivery and a strong understanding of the Scottish education context. They will be a positive and pro-active manager of people, with a commitment to delivering excellent standards. Most of all, they will be a self-starter with the resilience and enthusiasm to pioneer our work in Scotland and grow it to scale.
