Farewell to three Trustees

20 Dec 2021

The Brilliant Club has said goodbye to three long-serving members of its Board of Trustees in 2021.

James Turner, currently CEO of The Sutton Trust, stood down in June this year having been on the Board since September 2012.

Matt Hood is Principal of Oak National Academy and served on the charity’s Board from March 2012 until September 2021.

Ben Williams, Head of Transactions at Bioenergy Infrastructure Group, had also been on the Board for nine years. He stepped down in December 2021 having started as a Trustee alongside Matt in 2012.

Their longstanding contributions spanned almost a decade of involvement with The Brilliant Club, during which time their insight and experience was invaluable to the charity. We are sad to see all three leave the Board, but we hope they will remain friends of the charity for many years to come.

In March 2021, three new Trustees, including our first ever Young Trustee, were appointed to The Brilliant Club’s Board, which is chaired by Dr Josephine Valentine OBE. The details of these appointments can be found here.
