Online Resources Launched

27 Mar 2020

The Brilliant Club is today releasing a series of online resources which can be accessed free of charge and are suitable for pupils aged 10-18.

The resources are themed around university knowledge, academic content and university skills, and will be updated on a weekly basis. Pupils will be able to watch masterclasses on a range of topics delivered by PhD tutors, access workbooks for independent learning and understand more about university life and the application process.

To create the resources, the charity is drawing from its two core programmes, The Scholars Programme and Researchers in Schools, as well as featuring useful links to content provided by friends and supporters of The Brilliant Club.

CEO of The Brilliant Club, Anne-Marie Canning, said:

“Right now, young people, families and schools are facing serious challenges in ensuring opportunities are still available in unprecedented time of lockdown. Throughout this, we will be maintaining our commitment to our mission: that we exist to increase the number of pupils from underrepresented backgrounds progressing to highly selective universities.

This inequality will not be going away during this crisis, and we are aware that pupils most in need of support are likely to face significant challenges during this time. We will be releasing a range of high-quality resources and support from our network and partners and updating these on a weekly basis.”
