There’s lots you can do to enhance your application – read our three top tips below

There will be a short wait while we assess your application and arrange an interview – we’ll contact you regularly to keep you up to date. You can use this time to build up your knowledge of the programme and what it’s like to be a teacher in the following ways:

Ensure you’re familiar with the programme

The interview stage of our process will take a look at your knowledge of and motivation for the RIS programme. Make sure you’re familiar with the programme and the unique features, as well as all the updated information on 2021 bursaries and salaries.

Improve your knowledge of the English education system

If you weren’t educated in the UK, or haven’t spent time in a school for a long time, you can read our handy guide to the English education system, as well as checking out the national curriculum for your subject. The curriculum will give you a good overview of which topics in your subject are covered and when.

Arrange to spend time in a UK school

One of the best ways to get a feel for the teaching profession is to talk to teachers and, where possible, spend some time in a school. There are a number of ways you can arrange this – for more information, visit our programme overview page.
