UniPrep

UniPrep supports Year 12 and 13 students throughout sixth form as they prepare for university.

How does UniPrep work?

  • Live webinars are conducted all year-round offering guidance such as writing personal statements, student finance, study skills support and information about life at university.
  • You will get a chance to hear from current university students and other experts in the field.
  • We will also share other useful resources about university that will help you as you prepare for this exciting next step

What sort of webinars do you run?

In the last year, we’ve run webinars on the following topics:

  • Making good uni choices
  • University application
  • Learning to Use Our Voices to Be Seen & Heard with Bloomsbury Publishing
  • Managing finances with Money Ready
  • What they don’t tell you about university

What about once I get to university?

  • If you go to one of our partner universities for our Join the Dots programme, you will be eligible to receive free 6 months of support from a PhD coach based at your university.
  • Your coach will help you develop key study skills so you can smash your first assignment and assessment, as well as connecting to you to your network of fellow students!

University Partners – Join the Dots

For 2026/27, we have confirmed partnerships with Birkbeck, University of London; the University of Bournemouth, University of Bristol; Durham University; King’s College London, the University of Portsmouth, Queen Mary, University of London and the University of Westminster.

I think Join the Dots has really helped me manage the transition from Year 13 to University by helping me become more independent through self-learning and how to take notes during lectures. The coach is also really friendly and helpful.
