UniPrep supports Key Stage 5 students and their parents/carers as they prepare to make the transition to university

How does UniPrep work?

  • Live webinars are conducted all year-round offering guidance such as writing personal statements, student finance, study skills support and information about life at university
  • You will get a chance to hear from current university students and other experts in the field
  • We will also share other useful resources about university that will help you as you prepare for this exciting next step.

 

What webinars are coming up?

  • Key Stage 5 students and Parents/Carers: Making Good Uni Choices: Making informed decisions about courses and where to apply

In this webinar, Year 12 and 13 students and parents/carers can learn more about how to choose five courses and universities for a UCAS application, and understand contextual offers. You can also hear from current undergraduate students about their experiences.

  • Key Stage 5 students: Uni Applications: How to navigate student finance and write a personal statement

In this webinar, Year 12 and 13 students can learn about student finance, bursaries and scholarships, along with practical tips for writing a strong personal statement. We’ll also hear from My Super Curricular about how to effectively incorporate extracurricular activities into personal statements.

  • Parents/Carers: Supporting Your Child’s University Application

This webinar will help parents and carers support their child’s next steps after they leave school. Topics include the benefits of higher education, choosing a university, open days, personal statements, specific course requirements, and practical advice about supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing throughout the application process.

I’m a student, how do I sign up?

In order to join UniPrep, you need to complete our sign-up form. It’ll only take a couple of minutes! Once the form is complete, you’ll receive an email from us with all you’ll need to get started with UniPrep.

What about once I get to university?

  • If you are accepted at one of our Join the Dots partner universities, you may be eligible to receive 6 months of free support from a PhD coach based at your university
  • Coaches can help you develop key study skills to approach academic work with confidence, as well as connecting to you to a network of fellow students and helping you settle into your new university life!

I work in a school/college, how do I sign-up?
