The Brilliant Tutoring Programme has been set up to support the national catch up effort caused by school closures. We are delighted to be an approved National Tutoring partner through the National Tutoring Programme.
Schools in England are eligible to receive 75% subsidised tutoring through the scheme. We are also able to deliver the programme to schools in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, however subsidies are not currently available.
The Brilliant Tutoring programme provides tutoring to pupils in small groups (1:3), in core subjects with our subject expert PhD tutors. Tutoring groups will receive 15 hours of tutoring over 15 weeks. Primarily tutoring will be delivered online, however we are happy to discuss in-person options with individual schools.
In 2020-21 we have tuition courses available in:
Within each course there are 5 modules. Lead Teachers will liaise with tutors to select 3 modules out of the 5 for specific groups to focus on over the 15-hour tutoring block.
Courses have been designed in collaboration with our partners to stretch and challenge pupils, especially mid-high attainers, to catch up. Tutors will be able to re-engage and rebuild pupils’ confidence in core subjects and inspire them through their passion for their subject area.
Placements will be arranged in groups of 6 pupils (taught in two groups of 3). Through the National Tutoring Programme, schools in England only contribute 25% of the total cost of a placement. For 6 pupils the school contribution is £390, £65 per pupil for 15 hours of tutoring.
Our Tutors have been rigorously assessed and undergone extensive training. As subject experts, they can support pupils to catch up and inspire them beyond the curriculum.
We will arrange a call or video meeting to discuss your individual school needs and budget to find the best arrangement for you. We will then provide you with a sign-up link to register details and agree provision. If you are in England, you will need to also agree to specific terms linked to the government funding provided through the National Tutoring Programme.
Once signed up, you will be allocated a Brilliant Club Programme Officer to begin programme planning with you.
