The Brilliant Club is an approved National Tutoring Programme provider through our new Brilliant Tutoring Programme. We are taking part in the national catch-up effort so pupils can access a future they deserve. The Programme aims to re-engage and rebuild pupils’ confidence in core subjects by working with a subject expert. Limited waiting list places remain for Summer 2021.

Brilliant Tutoring Programme – New for 2020-21

The Brilliant Tutoring Programme has been set up to support the national catch up effort caused by school closures. We are delighted to be an approved National Tutoring partner through the National Tutoring Programme.

Schools in England are eligible to receive 75% subsidised tutoring through the scheme. We are also able to deliver the programme to schools in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, however subsidies are not currently available.

The Brilliant Tutoring programme provides tutoring to pupils in small groups (1:3), in core subjects with our subject expert PhD tutors. Tutoring groups will receive 15 hours of tutoring over 15 weeks. Primarily tutoring will be delivered online, however we are happy to discuss in-person options with individual schools.

In 2020-21 we have tuition courses available in:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Physics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry

Limited waiting list places remain for Summer 2021.

Within each course there are 5 modules. Lead Teachers will liaise with tutors to select 3 modules out of the 5 for specific groups to focus on over the 15-hour tutoring block.

Courses have been designed in collaboration with our partners to stretch and challenge pupils, especially mid-high attainers, to catch up. Tutors will be able to re-engage and rebuild pupils’ confidence in core subjects and inspire them through their passion for their subject area.

Places are available for pupils in KS4 and KS3. Places remain for the Summer term (April start). Due to high demand, there are no further places for the Spring term (January start). Please get in touch soon to book for the Summer to avoid disappointment.

Funding and school contribution

Placements will be arranged in groups of 6 pupils (taught in two groups of 3). Through the National Tutoring Programme, schools in England only contribute 25% of the total cost of a placement. For 6 pupils the school contribution is £390, £65 per pupil for 15 hours of tutoring.

PhD tutors

Our Tutors have been rigorously assessed and undergone extensive training. As subject experts, they can support pupils to catch up and inspire them beyond the curriculum.

How to sign up – waiting list only
